Finally, before we conclude Part 2 and move on to Part 3, let’s take some time to touch on “walking in the Spirit” – living a life that is according to Jesus’ ways, one that pleases Him and invites the fullness of God’s blessing upon you. Part 4 explores this topic in detail, but we want to introduce it now in case you’re already born again or have come to be born again since starting the Power-Up course.
The more you use the power of the Holy Spirit within you, the 1) more useful you can be for the Lord, 2) stronger you’ll be to resist the temptations of Satan and his workers (and the Bible assures us that temptation will come to us all), and 3) greater the chance you’ll have at overcoming and remaining on the path to eternal life in the Kingdom. When you’re born again, the process of your salvation begins, but you must purpose to grow in Christ versus taking eternal life for granted.
1 Corinthians 10:12, “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
Philippians 3:13-14, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
James 1:12, “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
Also, we want to take a moment to remind you that we are always here for you. Please feel free to contact us (info@christiansrule.com) for encouragement and support. While God fully equips all His children through the power of the Holy Spirit to lay hold upon victory, it’s a joy and comfort to enlist the help of our Spirit-filled brethren. The opportunity to do this is one of God’s blessings for us, and we all need help at times. In fact, it’s God’s directive because He knows how important it is as sustenance for our walk with Him:
Hebrews 10:23-25, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Congratulations on completing this unit! You’re well on your way to realizing the fullness of your spiritual journey with God. We’ll see you soon in Part 3: Burning Questions.
